We understand that finding content missing from your Boards or not seeing real-time updates can be frustrating! Please be assured that all Board content is saved in the cloud and is safe. Here are the reasons this might be happening and how to fix it.
Why My Content is Missing
If you find that the content of a Board is no longer appearing, there are a couple of possible reasons:
- The Owner Deleted the Board: It is possible that the owner of the Board may have deleted it. If this is the case, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to retrieve the deleted Board or its content.
- You Were Removed: It is possible that you may have been removed from the Board by the owner. In this scenario, the content of the Board is still saved, but you will no longer have access to it.
Recommended Action: In any case of missing content, we recommend reaching out to the owner of the Board to confirm the status and to see if there are any steps that can be taken to retrieve the lost content or get you re-added.
Why My Board Content is Not Updated
Board content is designed to update in real-time whenever a change is made (creating, editing, or deleting content). If you're not seeing updates, it could be due to your membership status:
- Real-Time Updates (Board Member): If you are an official Board Member, you should have real-time content updates. (Learn more about Board membership here: [Link to article about Board membership/Shared Boards]).
When you copy content from a Shared Board to your own Personal Board, it's important to understand how that content changes its status:
- Content is No Longer Connected: Any content you copy and paste to your own Personal Board will no longer be updated or managed by the original Board owner.
- Loss of Real-Time Sync: This means if the Board owner (your leader or company) updates the original script, image, or link, your copied version will not automatically change.
When to Copy Content
It is best practice not to copy any content unless you absolutely need to customize it for your own personal style or system.
- Recommendation: If the Content Piece is a standard product description, pricing guide, or official link that must stay updated, share it directly from the Shared Board to guarantee you are always using the current version.
