If you are unable to copy content from a Shared Board or Folder Link into your own Personal Boards, don't worry—nothing is wrong with your app! This is an intentional security setting made by the board owner.
Why Copying Is Restricted
Board owners (your leaders or company) have controls over their Boards to protect proprietary or sensitive content. They can enable two specific member restrictions:
- Restrict content copying to other Boards.
- Restrict sharing folders as links.
If you are unable to copy content, the Board owner has simply turned off the copying feature for that specific Shared Board.
What to Do If You Need the Content
If you believe this restriction is an error:
- Reach Out to the Board Owner: We recommend reaching out directly to the Board owner to discuss the situation. The board owner has the ability to disable the content copying and folder sharing restrictions if they deem it appropriate to do so.
