Allowing notifications is essential to ensure you don't miss any messages from your team leader or real-time updates about content changes. To fully enjoy Boards and all its features, please ensure notifications are enabled!
Allowing Notifications When You Sign Up
During the initial sign-up process, the app will prompt you to allow notifications. Tapping "Allow" here is the quickest way to enable them.
Allowing Notifications from the Messages Tab (In-App)
If you skipped the initial prompt, you can always enable them directly within the Boards app:
- Open the Boards app.
- Tap the Messages tab.
- Look for and tap Allow Notifications at the top of the screen.
Allowing Notifications from Your Phone Settings
If the above steps don't work, you can enable or check the status of notifications through your device's operating system:
- Go to your phone’s main Settings app.
- Tap Boards (you may need to search for the app name).
- Tap Notifications.
- Toggle or tap to Allow/Enable Notifications.
Setting Your Notification Preferences (Account Settings)
You can choose what types of alerts you receive right in your profile:
- Tap the Account tab.
- Scroll down to Notification settings.
- Choose your preferences for what activity triggers an alert (e.g., new messages, content updates, etc.).
