If you are on the Free Plan, you can activate a limited number of Boards to ensure your essential content is always ready to share.
Free Plan Activation Limits
On the Free plan, you can have up to 2 active Boards. These can be Boards you created (Personal Boards), Boards shared with you (Shared Boards), or a mix of both. Both types count toward the same limit.
Once a Board is activated, you can:
- Access its content.
- Send content using the keyboard, Chrome extension, or via the app.
- Receive in-app messages and real-time updates.
Note on Sponsored Boards: Sponsored Boards don't count toward the limit of 2 and are always active. You can have more than one.

How to Check and Activate a Board
You can easily see which Boards are active and which are available for activation right on your main Boards screen.
1. How to Check for Activated Boards
- Activated Boards: These appear directly below the word Boards on your main screen.
- Inactive Boards: Any other Boards you have received appear under the Inactive section. Since you have free activation slots, these inactive boards will have a crown icon (👑).
2. How to Activate a Board
If you have a free slot and wish to use a Board's content, you simply need to activate it:
- Navigate to your list of Boards.
- Enter the inactive Board you wish to use.
- Tap the Activate button.
Good to know: Once you activate a Board, you can't deactivate it, so choose the Board you use most. Any other Boards shared with you stay in your Inactive list. For example, a Free user can have several Sponsored Boards, one Shared Board they activated and one Board they created, all active, while every other Board shared with them stays inactive.
Need space for another Board?
If you already have 2 active Boards, you can make room for another by:
- Upgrading to Activate More Boards: If you need to activate more than 2 Boards—for example, if you want access to several Shared Boards from multiple leaders or groups—you'll need to upgrade your plan.
- Deleting a Board you created. Deleting removes the Board and its content. To get it back, contact Support. Recovery isn't guaranteed. Recovering a Deleted Board, Folder or Page.
- Leaving a Shared Board. This can't be undone, and you'd need to be invited again to see it. See Leave a Shared Board.
Tip: If a deleted Board is recovered, it comes back inactive. Activate it to see its content. If you already have 2 active Boards, it stays inactive until you free up a slot or upgrade.
