How can I check when my subscription ends/renews?
Your subscription is managed by the platform where you originally purchased it (App Store, Google Play Store, or our website).
-
Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad):
- Open your Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
- Find and tap Boards.
-
Google Play Store (Android):
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon (top right).
- Go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Select Boards.
-
Desktop (Paddle):
- If you subscribed via our website (credit/debit card), you can view your subscription details by checking your confirmation email from Paddle or going to Paddle.net and clicking “look up my purchase” and entering your email address.
Is my subscription linked to my Boards account email?
Yes, absolutely! When subscribing, make sure you are logged into the correct email in Boards. Your subscription is directly linked to your Boards account login, ensuring you always access the correct plan.
What happens when I cancel my subscription?
Canceling your subscription means you are only canceling the auto-renewal, not the current subscription itself. You can cancel at any time.
Example: If you chose the annual plan and your expiration date is March 12, 2026, canceling now will prevent the automatic renewal, but your plan remains active and accessible until March 12, 2026.
What if I switch to a new phone or device?
No Problem! Your subscription is linked to your login, not your device. Simply download Boards on your new device, select "Already have an account?", and log in. Do not sign up for a new account, or your subscription won't appear.
Can I transfer my subscription between an iPhone and an Android?
No. Subscriptions cannot transfer between the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. If you are switching from an iPhone to an Android or vice-versa, we recommend canceling the auto-renewal of your current plan. Once your billing cycle expires, you will be able to re-subscribe with your new device platform.
What happens if I delete my Boards account?
Be Careful! If you delete your Boards account, all data is permanently lost and cannot be recovered. More importantly, your subscription remains active. You must manually cancel the subscription in the correct platform (App Store, Play Store, or Paddle) to avoid future charges.
Will any of my existing Boards or content be affected by the change?
No. Your existing Boards and content will remain intact. Plans affect limits and access going forward, not your stored content.
Do prices include taxes?
Local taxes or fees may apply based on your billing address. You’ll see the final amount at checkout before you confirm your purchase.
Is it possible to switch the Shared Board I have selected to activate on the Free plan?
No, once you have one Shared Board active on the Free plan, you cannot switch it. You have two options:
- Upgrade to a Paid Plan to access shared Boards immediately.
- Leave the current active Shared Board and then select a different Shared Board to activate. If you leave the Board, it will not appear in your inactive Boards anymore. You must be invited again to see the Board in your inactive list.
Can my team members access the Boards I shared with them?
Your team members can access one or two Shared Boards if they are using the Free plan (depending on the use of a Sponsored Board).
- Tip for Leaders: We suggest you make sure they activate your main Team Board so they get full access to view and share your most important content.
- Messages: All members of your Board(s) continue receiving Board messages, even if the Board is marked as inactive due to plan limits.
If a feature is limited (like Pages or Content Items), what happens when I reach the limit?
If you are on the Free plan and reach the maximum limit for content items or Pages, you will need to upgrade to the Unlimited to add more, or delete existing items to stay within your current limit.
What is the value of the 'Download Content' feature?
The Download Content feature (available on Unlimited) allows you to save non-text content (like images, videos, or PDFs) from a Board directly back to your device's photo gallery or file folder. This is useful for offline use or repurposing content.
