As a Board creator (Owner), you have complete control over how your content is shared, copied, and distributed by your Members. These controls are essential for protecting your proprietary content and maintaining brand consistency across your organization.
Core Content Protection Controls
You can set restrictions that prevent Members from duplicating or widely sharing your content outside of the Board. These settings are available on the phone:
- Prevent Content Copying: Restrict your Board Members from copying Content Pieces to their own Personal Boards.
- Prevent Board or Folder Sharing: Restrict your Board Members from sharing your entire Board or specific Folders as external links (via the share icon). Members will still be able to share via link if the share invite link is enabled.
How to Enable Copy/Share Restrictions (Mobile Only)
- Open the Boards app and enter your Board.
- Tap Members to access the member management screen.
- Toggle Restrictions: Toggle the member restrictions you want to enable. You can choose to restrict content copying, sharing folders as links, or both.
Member's View: When copying is restricted, the "Copy" option will not appear when a Member selects content. When sharing is restricted, the Share icon will not appear at the top of the screen.
Managing Member Invitation Permissions
By default, Members will be able to invite more people to the Shared Board. If you want to prevent others from sharing the invitation link, you can disable it. Members and owners must then add others via email address. If you wish to restrict anyone from sharing the Board, you must edit the permission of each member to Can Access. This allows for easy access, copying, and sharing with the keyboard without making changes or adding new members.
