Typically, you don't need to save content—that's the whole point of Boards! We keep your Content Pieces in the cloud to prevent cluttering your phone. However, sometimes downloading is necessary for specific actions like scheduling.
Important Note: The ability to download Content is a premium feature available on Paid Plans.
Why You May Need to Download Content
The main reason you may need to save content to your device is for advanced sharing on external platforms:
- Scheduling Posts: Due to permissions on some social media platforms, scheduling a post directly from Boards Content (via the share function) doesn't always work. In this case, you have to download the content first to upload it to your scheduler tool.
What Content You Can Save
The ability to save content varies slightly between mobile and desktop devices:
- Mobile Device (App): You can save Images and Videos directly to your mobile device.
- Desktop Editor: You can save Images, PDFs, and Videos from the Boards Desktop editor.
