The Boards Chrome Extension is a powerful tool that allows you to access and send your Content directly from your Chrome web browser, mirroring the functionality of the Boards Keyboard on your mobile device. This is ideal for quickly sharing Content while working on your desktop or laptop.
Note: The Boards Extension currently only works with the Google Chrome browser. It is not compatible with other web browsers.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Chrome Extension
1. Setup
- Install the Chrome Extension: First, you need to add the Boards extension to your Google Chrome browser. (You can search the Chrome Web Store for "Boards" or use the direct link: https://bit.ly/hc_boards_chrome_extension)
- Pin the Extension: For easy access, pin the Chrome extension icon (it looks like a puzzle piece) to the top bar of your browser window.
2. Access and Insert Content
- Navigate to Your Sending Location: Open the messenger, email, or any website where you want to send your Content.

Access the Extension and Content:
- Click into the message field where you would normally type your message.
- Click on the Boards Chrome extension icon (it should be visible in your pinned extensions).
- This will open a window displaying your Boards.
- Find the Content you wish to share (Text, Images, Links, etc.).
- Insert the Content: Click on the Content you want to send. It will automatically populate into the message field you clicked.
3. Review and Send
- Review and Edit: Review the inserted Content and make any necessary edits or additions before sending.
Press Send: Once everything looks correct, press your platform's Send button.
