Boards Announcements (Android)

With the new Boards Announcements feature, you can engage and update everyone on your board no matter where they are - in one simple click, and instantly improve your team's communication and alignment.

As a board owner or co-editor, this new feature enables you to send announcements to everyone on your board. You can let them know about anything and everything including - new products, new training videos, new launches, best practices, new marketing campaigns and more!

As a board member, you’ll be notified if you receive an announcement on a board. Just make sure to Allow notifications on your phone so that you don't miss anything!

Learn how to send board announcements to your board members (only board owners and co-editors can send board announcements in boards with 2 or more members):

1. Open the Boards app, tap your board and tap on the “Create Announcement” icon 💬 
2. Add text content (you will be able to add photos, and other types of media in the future) and a title (optional) 
3. Tap Preview when you're ready to review your announcement
4. Tap Post to send the board announcement.
5. Get a confirmation message 👌🏼
6. You will see your announcement in the ¨Announcements¨ tab

How to delete an announcement (post creators, and only post creators, can delete an announcement):

1. Tap the ¨Announcements¨ tab and go to the announcement you want to delete
2. Tap the 3 dots
3. Tap Delete Announcement
4. Confirm that you want to delete the announcement
5. Get a confirmation message 👌🏼
6. You will no longer see the announcement in the ¨Announcements¨ tab

Board members will receive a notification when an announcement is sent (board members are notified in multiple ways):

• Notifications on their phones (the ones who have allowed them)

• App badge (on the phone home screen)

• ¨Announcements¨ tab 

• Keyboard

Additionally, as a board member or owner, you can see all your boards announcements by:

1. Opening the Boards app
2. Tapping on the ¨Announcements¨ tab on the bottom right side of the screen
3. All announcements for your boards will appear
4. You can select a specific announcement to view it in more detail
