On most Android devices you'll find the "Change Keyboard" key at the bottom of the screen when your default keyboard is shown. This is how the "Change Keyboard" key looks like:
If you have the "Change Keyboard" key, simply tap on it once and select the Boards keyboard (as can be seen on OPTION #1).
*Please note that on some devices, you may need to ensure that the keyboard button on the navigation bar is enabled. This can be done by accessing your phone's keyboard settings.
Additionally, on certain devices, the keyboard may be hidden under the microphone icon on the bottom left side of the screen. In such cases, you may need to press and hold the microphone icon to reveal the keyboard icon.

Gboard Keyboard (by Google)
Some Android devices make it complicated to switch between the device’s native keyboard and 3rd party keyboards.
To solve this issue, we recommend to install the Gboard Keyboard (by Google) and set it as the primary keyboard on your device. Then, you’ll be able to easily switch between the Gboard and Boards keyboards by tapping on the "keyboards key" that will appear at the bottom of your keyboard.
If the keyboard key doesn't appear, tap& hold the "globe" icon or the space-bar, and then select the Boards keyboard.
How to do it after downloading Gboard
- Go to Settings on your phone
- Tap Additional settings
- Then press Languages and input
- Tap Manage keyboards
- Select Gboard
- Tap Languages
- Select Add Keyboard
- Choose a new keyboard language (any other language to the one you are using now will do)
- Tap Done
If you tried all the above and still didn't manage to switch to the Boards keyboard, please contact us.
